New labels for CC containers03 October 2018
As of 2011, all CC containers with a contract are equipped with a red label (lock). In order to keep the pool system fair and pure, it is important to renew the label from time to time. Therefore, all CC containers get a new label (CC TAG5).
On 7 January 2019, all CC containers that are part of the CC Pool must have the new label.
Why a new label?
The idea behind the CC Pool is that it is an open system where everybody can participate and in which the material is interchangeable. This also opens the door to misuse by 'free-riders', for example, people or companies who contractually have less CC containers than they use in the pool. The new label allows to correct this. It is not yet known what the new label will look like.
Our procedure during the CC label campaign
We will get started with the CC label campaign in our CC depots during the weekend of 5 and 6 January 2019. Mid November 2018, you will receive more information about what this means for you specifically and about the procedure in our CC depots.
The current procedures in our depots will not change after the arrival of the new CC label (CC TAG5). We will continue to perform scan checks to verify the new label's authenticity.
If you have a service contract with Container Centralen, you have already received your specific information about this label campaign directly from them.
