Enhanced enforcement on the use of auction trolleys16 January 2019
In the past year, our clients were often confronted with incomplete auction trolleys through incomplete shelves or damage to the auction trolleys. In addition, there were unforeseen costs due to fraud or theft. We try to avoid this whenever possible.
In order to impose more specific sanctions, we will tighten the policy and the enforcement related to the use of auction trolleys per 1 February 2019.
What will change?
The guidelines for the correct use of auction trolleys will not change. We are only adjusting the enforcement and the handling of breaches. Inspectors will issue warnings and impose fines more quickly. Furthermore, breaches will no longer prescribe, so history will also be considered for the final sanction. We noticed that this was abused in some cases.
This prevents costs from being wrongly charged to anyone and allows us to keep the quality and the availability of auction trolleys as optimal as possible.
